Quick stats run down ahead of the
1st England-Australia T20I in Adelaide:
- The oldest enemies have played 5 times with honours even at two wins each with one no result and one abandonment (the latter two both coming at Old trafford).
- England's T20I runs per over (RPO) is marginally less against OZ (7.80) than their overall average of 8.03 against all teams. Their highest RPO is against Zimbabwe(9.40) whilst, perhaps more surprisingly, their lowest is against Ireland(6.00) which is really just one match - the 2010 Guyanan debacle where they hit a paltry 120 only to be saved by the weather which allowed them to proceed onwards and World Championship upwards.
- Not quite sure why Hauritz is back for the ODIs but not a sniff of the T20Is with his very respectable ER of 6.40. He's pretty high up this economy list of test-playing nation bowlers (min 30 balls bowled). Fred's the best of the English.
Enjoy the match. If you want something even dryer than these stats, whine-not try
this?
