As the froth continues to bubble over Australia's selection and general woes, it's perhaps worth remembering that England do not do well in Perth. Their chargesheet reads P11 W1 D3 L7 which, in sharp contrast to what Shagger Shane was seemingly gazing at at last week, is not a pretty sight. They've scored eight centuries - which I guess is not too revolting - and only taken a 5-for on four occasions (you might be surprised at one chalky name on that list). Form, morale and gut instinct suggest precedent won't take precedence, but the WACA is not a happy hunting ground for Poms.
In other news, the latest New Zealand postmortem begins after their five-zip ODI defeat to India, and a couple of reviews of two new Test Match Special-based books - Thanks Johnners and The Best Views from the Boundary - can be found here and here. I can't get TMS in the Czech Republic, which is a pain in the prdel, as they might say here, and even the audio highlights are unavailable. Come on beeb, sort it out. I can't imagine the cost of digi-rights in a country with a cricket fanbase of around 23 can be too prohibitive...
